Sometimes, the best commissions are the ones with the fewest constraints. Our client knew two things: the length of the tables for the confirmation banquet—and that the confirmand loves green. She left the rest to us.
No rosé, no gold, no pastel mix. Just green. And anyone who thinks that sounds boring hasn't looked deep enough into a bucket of flowers. Emerald, mint, bottle green—vases, tealight holders, and candles alone hold a whole universe of color. The white of the carnations and waxflowers made the green truly pop.
Two details took care of the rest: guinea fowl feathers tucked into the arrangements—and small green parrots, perched alongside a Monstera leaf in a vase, enlivening the tables like cheeky little guests. 🦜🌿
