Anyone who walks into a beauty salon knows the look: white walls, smooth surfaces, nothing to distract. The owner of this Stuttgart beauty lounge wanted exactly the opposite – an entrance area with character, one that surprises while still being practical. A cozy waiting area before appointments, a reception, workshop space for small groups, product sales: everything on one floor, all with personality.

Concept

It started with a long, enjoyable conversation with the owner – about her vision, her clients, her wishes. From that came five moodboards, each with its own world: Sandy Ibiza with rattan and playful pink, Dawny St. Tropez with iridescent accents and glamour, Calm Madrid quiet and velvety in green and rose, Caramel Marocco warm and rich with Moroccan influences, Wild Serengeti grounded in beige and gray with a cloud wallpaper. Each concept split in two – waiting area and shop area thought through separately.

Where things stand
